Educational Services in schools are now the responsibility of Lancashire County Council but prior to 1974 the Borough Council was responsible and our images cover both periods of control. In addition to school activities this page includes education delivered by Burnley Library, training authorities, further education and play leadership organisations. It also includes cultural services and Towneley Museum educational services.
