Padiham

Padiham is an old market town and was governed by an Urban District Council from 1894 to 1974 when it became part of Burnley Borough Council. Burnley Express Group of newspapers at one time produced a Padiham Express, then devoted part of the Burnley Express to Padiham, but now both towns' news items are covered in the same pages.
