Long Service awards to 22 workers in Lucas electrical and gas turbine factories were made at a reception at the Lucas Social Centre. All had completed 25 years' service with the company. The gifts are a mark of the directors' sincere appreciation of the recipients' loyal and enduring service. Handing over the awards was director and general factory manager, Mr. R. J. Hurley.

Each recipient received a leather vellum inscribed certificate and a wrist watch. After the presentation, high tea and an evening of entertainment followed.
