Burnley Football Club Match Reports
The match reports are regular weekly features of the Burney Express and many photographs were taken of each match, usually more than 20. Conditions were not always good for taking photographs and some of the images, particularly of the night time matches, reflect that. However, these images will eventually create a comprehensive history of home and away matches, the changing fortunes and personnel of the club and images of football grounds no longer in existence. (Tip: If you are looking for a particular match try typing the opponents name into the search function.)
This page has now been split into four sections - Sixties, Seventies, Eighties and Nineties. Until all the images have been digitised and uploaded to the site you will still find the most recent additions at the top of the first sub-page. When digitisation has been completed the images can be arranged in date order.
