Town Centre

The Burnley Express has recorded the changing views and activities taking place in Burnley town centre including the redevelopment work of the 1960's and 70's. The town centre includes the wider area inside the inner ring road - Active Way to the north, Church Street and Centenary Way to the east and Finsley Gate/Hammerton Street/Queen's Lancashire Way to the west. To make viewing easier five sub-areas have been identified based around the following areas, each of which is described more fully.
