These children from Stoneyholme are obviously having the time of their lives helping out Mr and Mrs Richardson.
The travelling Adventure Theatre of Youth paid the annual visit to Stoneyholme Infants' School for a performance of "Monkey Mischief". The theatre which is based in Prestwich is made up of Mr and Mrs M. Richardson, and their black Labrador dog, who tour England and Scotland giving their well-written plays to schools. The hour-long play at Stoneyholme was seen by 175 children, aged between 4 and 7 and in the afternoon it was repeated for children at Rosegrove Infants school.
Stoneyholme headmistress, Miss M. Kerry said: "The children enjoyed it very much and I think this was about the best the company has ever done for us." The company has been booked for performances at Healey Wood Infants' School and St Peter's Infants' school in the autumn.
