Already Lancashire Under 19 champions, Burnley Boys' Club Air Rifle Range squad are now the top sharp shooters in the whole of the North of England. The squad, David Blackledge, Jonathan Turner, Paul Blackledge and David Clegg, took the NABC Northern Championship recently at the Richard Dunn Stadium in Bradford. Clegg was the marksmen of the day scoring a superb 92 points out of 100. Two years ago the side earned bronze in the ABA under 16s championship and have obviously improved with age. Their win qualified them to a crack at the national finals in Wolverhampton.
