The goals which sank West Bromwich Albion at Turf Moor on Saturday 21st March. Steve Kindon rockets home a left-footer with all the confidence in the world. The ball is just a blur, but that's his eighth goal in the same number of First Division games and it gives him a League total of 14, plus one in the Football League Cup.
From the Daily Mail as quoted in the Burnley Express:
Ralph Coates could well become the first Burnley player to gain a place in an England world cup squad since goalkeeper Colin McDonald shone in the 1958 Swedish tournament. But even his exciting talent was overshadowed at Turf Moor as Burnley snatched their first win under new manager Jim Adamson.
The 2-1 defeat of a weakened West Brom was a triumph for 19-year-old David Thomas, hailed recently by Leeds manager Don Revie as Britain's top teenage prospect.
