There were fewer people going away this weekend and there was a slight drop in numbers on previous years. A travel sales representative explained that the holiday peaks are levelling out. Whereas formerly everyone took their holidays in the Wakes weeks, people now tend to take their holidays at different times of year with winter holidays becoming more popular.
