Holiday Trips

The Burnley Express photographed people going on and returning from their annual 'Burnley Fair' holidays and sometimes whilst they were on holiday. There are also many photographs of people setting off on day trips throughout the year. Features of the Burnley Holiday weeks was the annual visit to the town of the 'Pot Fair' at Burnley market and also the 'Burnley Fair' which usually took place on Fulledge Recreation Ground. The Express photographed traders and buyers at the pot fair and people enjoying themselves at the fairground.
