After a break for some teams of almost eight weeks, the Amateur Combination got under way again on Saturday, 4th January 1975, but despite the long lay-off for some players there were few surprise results.
In Division One, Park view moved into second place on goal average following their 3-0 win over bottom-of-table BBC A and now have the same number of points as Red Star, whose game against leaders Worsthorne was postponed. Lucas A and Stanley a had a hard game at Reedley, with the honours eventually shared 3-3. Padiham Railway scored their third win of the season when they beat fellow strugglers Goodshaw 3-1. This win took the Padiham side out of the bottom three in the league.
