Action from Saturday's Combination game between Lucas and Trinity at Reedley, which the home side won 5-2. Here Trinity are on the attack.
A four-goal second half comeback by Stanley United enabled them to take both points from their Burnley Combination Division One game at Worsthorne on Saturday after they'd looked all set for a thrashing at half-time when they trailed 3-0. But after the interval, with the wind and driving rain at their backs, they equalised with three goals in only eight minutes, and scored the winner through Kevin Fielding 15 minutes from time.
Elsewhere in the First Division, champions Park view had a comfortable 4-0 win over Padiham Railway, while Lucas, who struggled all last season, followed up last week's beating of Goodshaw United with a fine 5-2 win over Trinity.
In other Division One games newly-promoted Whitewell Bottom held Miners to a 2-2 draw at Towneley and Boys' Club Old Boys A went down by the odd goal in three at Lumb. In the Second Division Michelin won again, this time by 5-0 against Padiham West End, while a Pat Drain hat-trick put Stanley B well on the way to a 5-1 win over Briercliffe. At the other end of the table British Rail got another hammering, being beaten 8-0 by St Theodore's Old Boys, and Bacup Borough Reserves were again on the receiving end, conceding six against Parkhill. Last season's rivals for the Fourth Division championship, Fleet Amateurs and Bellings, met again in Division Three on Saturday and Fleet had the satisfaction of winning 3-1. In the Fourth Division Keighley Green B came back from beig 2-0 down at half-time to New Albion B to win 6-2.
