Garage destroyed by fire

A FIRE completely destroyed a Barnoldswick garage and threatened nearby homes on Sunday night.
Firemen worked to extinguish the blaze with the danger of gas cylinders exploding, and it is now estimated that the cost of the damage is about £25,000.
The garage in Commercial Street and owned by Mr John Choyce, was completely gutted.
Two fire appliances arrived at the scene shortly after the blaze started at 9-20 p.m. and it took an hour for the spectacular fire to be extinguished.
