Fancy a novel way to surprise a friend or relative on a special occasion?
Then ring the Kissogram Girls - alias Barnoldswick women Sue Rochford and Carol Squire.
In an unusual business venture to say the least, they have set up the very first Kissogram service in this area.
And at the weekend they had their first star date... with comedian Mike Harding!
They were called out to the Craven Heifer at Stainforth where the comic was celebrating his 40th birthday. The landlord there, who is a friend of Mike Harding, had booked the Kissogram service and the celebrity was in for a shock when the two local women appeared dressed in basque and stockings, with a specially composed verse.
"He was quite surprised,” said Mrs Rochford (35), a former Alder Hill School, Earby, teacher. “The pub was packed and it made quite a scene. But Mike Harding took it in good fun as have almost all our ‘victims’. They all seem shocked at first but are pleased it has happened to them afterwards."
The two enterprising women started the Kissogram service during the summer, running it first from their homes.
Mrs Squire (34). of Darnbrook Road, brought the idea from Southampton where she lived for a while.
