Mr Taylor provided several drawings of Miss Stevenson for use in filming.

James Taylor who lives at Cliviger is an accomplished watercolourist, though too many people he might be best known for devising the highly successful showing of the late Noel H Leaver which was a big hit at Towneley Hall in 1963. Mr Taylor was born in Burnley in 1921 and trained at the Burnley School of Art. From there he went to the Slade and the Royal College of Art in London. For many years he lectured at Bolton College of Art and throughout the years he has built up a file of drawings and paintings of the countryside around Burnley. Other favourite haunts on North Wales, East Anglia and the lake district, but he must have had very mixed feelings over this latest assignment.
