Six bingo hall workers set off to walk 42 miles from Blackpool to Burnley to raise cash to fight muscular dystrophy, five completed the course raising about £400 from sponsorship and donations. The workers, three in fancy dress, work at the Empire and Majestic bingo halls in Burnley. Left to right they are Philip Parry, Miss Pat Barrell, Pat Holt, Mrs. Alison Carruthers, Mrs. Pam Frankland and Norma Blackham who dropped out along the way.
