To have four sisters in one Guide company at the same time must be a little unusual - and on Monday the Khan girls of Wickworth Street, Nelson provided St Bede's Guides with their sixth Queen's Guide.
She is Vivien Khan, a 15-year-old pupil at Mansfield High School, whose younger sisters, Julie, Marion and Susan look as if they will follow in her shoes.
The presentation was made at the St Bede's church hall on Monday evening and Vivien was presented with badge at her own request, by her Guider, Mrs Jean Atkinson. Divisional Commissioner Mrs Beryl Stanworth, was among those who joined in Vivien's celebration.
