Coal in plenty despite Strike A hill of coal keeps Padiham power station going

Despite the miners strike which has hit the country nationwide Padiham powerstation has plentiful stocks of coal. A spokesman for the central electricity generating board said we are experiencing no problems. As far as coal stocks go we have sufficient coal to last for six months. If we don't receive another scrap of coal there is no danger of power cuts-we have had coal stocks at high levels for the last couple of years.
