The Sunday School Cricket League side which defeated the Works League in the Festival Cup semi-final on Sunday. Back row: C. Dale, D. Duerden, G. Scott, J. Fleming, J. Broxup, A. Holden. Front row: S. Hargreaves, T. Hatar, J. C. Mason (captain), D. Clark, W. Jeavons.

From an article by J.C.M:
Burnley and District Sunday School and Amateur Cricket League players proved to be in tremendous batting form on Sunday at St Andrew's scoring 156 for 3 in reply to the Works League's total of 154 all out made the previous week. Even on a perfect wicket a century and a half at over four runs an over takes some getting. That this was achieved was due mainly to an excellent opening partnership of 87 between Jim Fleming and Geoff Scott. After Jim Fleming was dismissed for 38 Geoff Scott continued in the same steady vein while Bill Jeavons adjusted himself to the wicket and was soon finding his touch. Geoff Scott was finally caught at square leg.
On Sunday 13th June the final takes place against the Midweek League XI, also at St Andrew's.
The article also reports on other matches.
