Mr. Woods prepares to show Simonstone MU members the sights of South America. Members of Simonstone Mothers’ Union had a chance to see a view of life in South America at an open meeting this week. Their guest speaker at the packed meeting, was Mr. Peter Woods, a retired headmaster from Accrington, who gave a talk and slide show called “Flight of the Condor” about his travels in South America over recent years. The show featured life in country villages, and the rare birds and animals he saw.
