Former Burnley goalkeeper who is also chairman of the Burnley Inskip League of Friendship, Mr Ted Adams, held a retirement party on Friday, 19th December 1971, for colleagues at Prestige Group Ltd. Mr Adams worked in the maintenance department for 21 years and retired at the weekend.

He came to Burnley at the age of 30 after playing with Liverpool, Southport and Wrexham. A regular member of the Burnley first team for about three seasons, he was the goalkeeper when Arsenal scored seven at Turf Moor in an FA Cup game.

He first became interested in Inskip work through his wife and has been an active member for 14 years. He held the position of vice=chairman before he was appointed chairman.
