Managing director of Stomike Coffee Co, Mr John Lewis is the new chairman of Burnley and Calder Round Table. He succeeds retiring chairman Mr Roy Waddington in a fortnight's time.

Mr Lewis was elected on Monday evening, 8th April,1974, at the annual meeting held at the Sparrow Hawk Hotel, Burnley. Other officers elected were Malcolm Yardley (secretary), Doug Simpson (vice-chairman), Michael Ardern (treasurer), David Haythornthwaite (funds chairman), Harvey Capstick (social secretary), Bob Thomas (programme secretary), and Ian Bunting (community service chairman).
