The first man to have worked 25 years at G.B.S. Kitchens in Padiham is 40-year-old Mr Bob Lawrie, who received a watch as a token of the firm's recognition.

The firm was started in 1946, and Mr Lawrie has worked there since he was 15. He is now the foreman in the polish shop.
