Work on the reconstruction of the 70-year old Rosegrove railway bridge is ahead of schedule. This was the news given to the Burnley Express yesterday by the site foreman who predicted that the new beams will go on the bridge at midnight on September 14th-15th. The only delay so far has been on the east side of the bridge when work was held up waiting for various services to be reinstated. In the region of 16 men, many of them travelling from Bolton to Burnley, are at present working on the east side of the bridge.
