Statue of Lord Nelson

Information kindly provided from Nelson Lancashire Now and Then Facebook group members - many members are sure this statue of Lord Nelson is believed to be from the Trafalgar Pub, Railway St, Nelson.
This is confirmed, as the Lancashire Post reported that it originally came from the Port Admiral Hotel, located at the junction of Lancaster Road and Saul St, in Preston, which closed in 1969. The brewers, Bass Charrington, removed this and 2 other statues (a naked lady believed to be Lady Hamilton and either Napoleon or Sir William Hamilton). They also confirmed that Nelson's statue turned up in the 70's in the Trafalgar pub in Nelson, a Bass Charrington pub.
