Front page SEAC Souvenir issue
This A5 envelope from the Burnley Express cuttings library contained a very special document, a full 16 page tabloid size commemorative issue of the SEAC troops newspaper, dated August 1944 which was intended to promote awareness of the Burma campaign back at home. We are posting three scanned extracts:
the front page;
part of Mountbatten's press release;
and an item explaining the logistical problems involved in supporting the troops.
