Surprise Party Present For Senior Members

A drop of the cup that cheers for Mrs. Ingham and Mr. Cottam, and a big smile from the Mayoress, as the Mayor presents the whisky.

Over 100 old people attended a party for members of Over 60's Clubs in Burnley, organised by Fulledge Club committee. Mayor and Mayoress (Ald. and Mrs. E. J. Willis), were present and the Mayor presented half bottles of whisky to Mrs. M. Ingham (92) and Mr. W. Cottam (94), the two most senior members. There was a competition, entertainment by Lucas Concert Party, and a meal.

The party was held in Bank Hall Miners' Club, and Mr. J. Wilson, secretary of Fulledge Over 60's Club was in charge.
