WELL over £50 was raised by a charity concert at Colne Bowling Club on Sunday.
And the money raised will go towards helping to finance a pilgrimage of hope to Lourdes for a local girl Patricia Butler who suffers from spina bifida.
The event was organised by club member Mrs Kathleen Strachan, of Glenroy Avenue, Colne, and was attended by 150 people.
Entertainment was provided by local talent group, the Andrews Sisters, who put on a great show for those who came along.
"The concert was a terrific success. It was well attended, and we raised a lot of money and there is still more cash to come in." said Mrs Strachan.
Mrs Strachan decided to organise the concert when she heard that Patricia was hoping to go to Lourdes. The idea received a warm reception from club officials and members.
