Mr Douglas Simpson, president of Burnley, Calder Round Table, presents a cheque to Mrs Stephenson. Burnley and District Spina Bifida Association owns a holiday caravan near Fleetwood but, because of its age it has to be moved from its present site. So when members of the Burnley Calder Round Table heard about the problem they decided to help the association to buy and equip a new caravan. The cost will be 2,000 pounds, and on Monday evening, at the Sparrow Hawk Hotel, Burnley, the tablers presented a cheque for 250 pounds to the chairman of the association, Mrs Iris Stephenson. The caravan, at Cockerham Sands, will need a great deal of highly-specialised equipment to cater for the disabled, most of whom are children, but the round table is hoping to do all it can to help raise funds.
