Playing don are; W. Houston, D. Forrest, G. Gregory (captain of the club don team), and W. Buck. The darts players watching Dennis Taylor in action are P. Heywood, J. Hirst, A. Young, B. Hargreaves and R. Wrenn.

The facilities of Daneshouse Unionist club have been improved by the addition of a new games room, which is an extension of the downstairs lounge and is served by the same bar. While not completely finished, it is available for darts, dominoes and don and is fitted with a television. It was used on Monday, 4th January 1971, when the club darts team played a Club and Institute Union match and entertained the Rose and Thistle.

The games room is a further demonstration of the committee's enterprise, for it was only last year that the upstairs lounge was improved and extended in time for the Lonsdale Darts Cup matches. (Search the website using the words Daneshouse Unionist Club to see the image and article for this match)
