BRIERIELD Methodist Church was the venue for a highly successful concert on Saturday evening. The entertainment started with a selection of soloists from around the area singing various pieces accompanied by Mr John Dean, from the Wheatley Lane Methodist Church.
The second half of the programme consisted of Mr John Peterson’s “Night of Miracles" which is a modern musical setting of the Christmas story.
Soloists for the production were Mrs Brenda Pemberton, from the Wheatley Lane Methodist Church, and Mr Kenneth Burton from Brierfield Methodists Church. The narrator was Mr Ian Wheeler, from Wheatley Lane and the guest conductor was Mrs Judith David, from St Anne's Church at Fence.
