Edwin St. Hill
The West Indies cricketer, Mr. Edwin St. Hill, a medium pace spin bowler, was a Lowerhouse professional from 1930-33 prior to signing for Slaithwaite.
On leaving he told the newspaper that "his experience in the Lancashire League had been invaluable. There is such a variety of wickets on which to play in East Lancashire. I am sure that if a professional can succeed in the Lancashire League he will be successful anywhere."
