Pubs for beer and much, much more (advertising feature) (4 of 5)

Advertising feature for four Bass Charrington Public Houses within a few miles of each other, offering patrons new surroundings, disco dancing and good food and drink: the Talbot, Burnley, Station Hotel, Nelson, Lane Ends, Lowerhouse and Park View Burnley.
The Park View, close to Turf Moor, has always been a very popular pub. One of the main attractions there, apart from the beer, is the Cold Food Bar, started by licensee Norman McCarthy and wife Pauline. There has now been a complete refurbishment of the pub. Norman said, “Food is a great attraction, and why wouldn’t it be, with Pauline doing the cooking?”
