Devastation.......But More Comfort For The Fans Soon

A scene of devastation, this is what it now looks like behind the cricket field end goal at Turf Moor following the almost brutally efficient demolition of the old stand. It's here though that the new all-seating, centrally-heated stand will rise in the course of the next 12 months or more, and the main Brunshaw Road stand (which can be seen in the background) is also to be replaced eventually.
The erection of the new cricket field end stand is only phase one of a whole series of plans formulated in conjunction with the successful operation of the Turf Moor Development Association. The crossbar of the goals at the cricket field end can just be seen on this picture above the fence, a little to the left of the mobile crane.
