The new and the old. Burnley Football Club's new stand at the cricket field end is gradually taking shape and as our picture shows many of the 4500 seats have already been fitted. Some of the hundreds of vents through which warm air will pass to heat the stand on cold days can be seen under the seats of the two back rooms, and another noticeable feature is the spacious amount of Leg room. Supporters wishing to select their own seats in the new stand will be able to do so shortly when fitting and numbering has been completed. Season tickets cost £12 10 shillings and how admission charges for individual mismatches will be 12 shillings sixpence. Work has been going on quite speedily underneath the stand and for about the next two years this area will house not only the central heating equipment but also dressing rooms, boardroom, offices etc. After 57 memorable years the Brunshaw Road stand, all the rooms below and the enclosure in front is being flattened to make way for another new stand
