The Amateur Football Combination's new trophy for sportsmanship, the George Richardson Memorial Cup, was presented to Worsthorne B at Bank Hall on Wednesday, the Alex Standing Trophy being awarded to Lucas SC.
The annual presentations and team awards were made by Mr. George Holden, uncle of the late George Richardson, the prominent local sportsman of BLC who died following a football field accident.
Mr. Holden was introduced by Mr. G. Haythornthwaite, league chairman.
