YOUNGSTERS IN Salterforth got together on Saturday evening to put on a variety concert.
A cast of 25 aged from four to 18 years old put on the second childrens' Christmas concert in the Baptist Church, Salterforth. The idea started last year when a concert was presented for the village old folk and the show was so popular that it was put on again in May. The organisers were Mrs Helen Metealfe, who took care of the younger members of the cast, and Mr and Mrs Kenneth Machell, who took care of the older children.
Members of the cast were Ruth Sagar, Sarah Town, Jenifer Hill, Neil Metcalfe, Julie Davies, Joanne Davies, Joanne Metcalfe, Trudy Machell, Susan Newbold, Carolyne Hill, Anette Butler, Joanne Wier, Joanne Slater. Amanda Ravenscroft, Josephine Metcalfe, Jonathan Mitten, Christopher Wilson, Paul Town, Jayne Slater, Linda Metcalfe, Christine Pollard, Mark Town, John Slater, Dean Ravenscroft, and Susan Wilson.
