Mothers' Union Fashion Show

Carol Atkinson and Elizabeth Wilkes model some of the clothes for the ladies.

A fashion show took the place of the monthly meeting of Habergham All Saints' Church Mothers' Union in Habergham school. About 40 members attended the show which was given by Audrey Barker of Burnley, and Mrs. Joan Tayler volunteered to act as a model along with the two girls brought along by Audrey. As well as the usual dresses, trouser suits proved to be quite popular with the audience, who afterwards had the opportunity to buy the modelled clothes. Refreshments were served by MU members.
