Susan and Caroline rehearsing for their TV appearance.

Two young Burnley girls will be appearing on Yorkshire television's "Junior Showtime" in February of next year. Susan Parker (12) of Kyan Street and Caroline Chapman (11) of Hallows Street, will be singing an old French song, "Bouquet of Rosemary." Both girls have been taking singing lessons for a year, and against strong competition, successfully auditioned for the show in Lytham several weeks ago.

At rehearsals they met Gerry Marsden and other stars. Although they were nervous at first, this soon disappeared when they began to sing. Both Susan and Caroline would eventually like to become actresses in musicals and we all hope that this, their first appearance on television, will not be their last.
