Football coaches usually tell their players to steer clear of bars and pubs, on the basis that the sport and drink don't mix, but one former Burnley player plans to make the pub business his second livelihood. Andy Lochhead aged 37 now the chief coach with second division Oldham Athletic is to be the new landlord of the Bay Horse Hotel, Worsthorne. He and his wife Carole have decided to sell their luxury four bedroom house in Cliviger and literally move in with the regulars. Andy used to live in Worsthorne when he was a first-team regular at Turf Moor in the 1960s. He and his wife have always been interested in having a pub and he said that football is such a precarious business especially on the coaching side and so he decided to start looking for another string to his bow in case anything went wrong.
