YOUNGSTERS from the infants Sunday School section of Colne Parish Church sang a collection of Christmas Carols on Sunday morning, dressed in the costumes of the first Christmas to give it a real nativity flavour.
The children sang "Away in a Manger,” “Walking, Walking, Joseph is Walking” and “Come and See the Holy Baby”. About 20 youngsters took part.
There was also a children’s gift service, when toys were collected for the youngsters of a Clitheroe orphanage.
On Monday evening there was a Parish Church Mothers‘ Union Christmas Concert, to which Mothers’ Union members from other Colne churches were invited, along with the ladies of Trawden Parish Church. The evening, which comprised entertainment by the Park High School Choir and Recorder Consort, was very enjoyable.
