Father Christmas left his sleigh at home and had to hitch a lift on a fire engine when he visited the Barnoldswick Christmas Fair yesterday week.
He arrived to find that the fun had already begun, with Barnoldswick Brass Band playing along and youngsters from Coates Lane School singing carols on the Town Square.
Window Contest: During the evening prizes were handed out to the winners of the festive window competition by compere Coun. Colin Pollard. The winner of the non-food section was Peter Martyn - Hairstylist, with Pumpkin In runner-up slot. Hirsts’ Butchers took first place in the food section, followed by Sainsbury's Cake Shop.
