A review and pantomime at Trinity Methodist Church, Padiham, on Saturday, 13th March 1971, was so successful that the show is to be given again tomorrow evening, 20th March. All 230 seats were filled on Saturday, and yesterday more than 100 tickets had been sold for tomorrow's performance. The pantomime, "Cinderella," has been adapted by a 14-year-old Sunday school scholar, Susan Horner. The organisers are Mr D. Whitehead, Miss D. Hudson and Mrs E. Ellett, and about 30 senior scholars are in the cast. The dances are arranged by Mrs Barbara Harrison and Mr Whitehead was compere on Saturday.
The event was part of the chapel anniversary weekend, and services on Sunday were conducted by the Rev. J. Hayes, superintendent minister of Nelson Methodist Circuit. On Sunday afternoon gift boxes were received and were opened by members of the primary department of the Sunday school. The children were dressed to represent spring flowers, and sang several songs during the service.
