Robinson Crusoe 1983

REHEARSALS were in full swing this week what is expected to be a memorable Council-sponsored “Robinson Crusoe” at Colne Municipal Hall. Well-remembered singing-star, turned comedian, Clinton Ford heads the cast and is one of the best known names to appear in the local series of pantomimes. And there is again a strong local touch to the production, with local girls from the Debbie Trinder dancers strongly featured.
Clinton Ford, a frequent television and radio broadcaster, plays Will Atkins, Syd Jackson and Dick Collins are the two knockabout comedians, and Joe Holroyd will be the Dame. Lynn Andrews as Polly Perkins provides the glamour element.
