Members of the cast. Myrtle Bank Methodist Dramatic Society has been having very good attendances at the pantomime over the past few weeks. The pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk” is being staged at the church. Miss L A Spencer is the producer, with Mrs A Brown as the musical director, Mrs Pickstone (costumes) and Mr A C Paiton doing the scenery. Jack, the principal boy, is played by Pamela Emmett, and other parts are: Alice Ellis); the dame (Mr Louie Pollard); Alderman, the principal boy’s father (Alf Emmett); Simple Simon (Tony Worrall); the cow (Colin Payne and Alan Pilkington) and not forgetting the giant (John Foster).
