IT'S back to school now for the pupils at Gisburn Road Primary School, Barnoldswick - but they certainly had a busy week before breaking up for the holidays.
Three Christmas parties, a coffee morning, a carol service, and a trip to the town's David Crosley House, to sing carols, were all included in the last few days of term.
Around 300 parents gathered in the school hall to hear the carol service when there were readings from members of the staff, from the parents themselves, and from the children. Two choirs sang items and there was music from an orchestral group.
Separate parties were held for the infants‘ department, and the first and second year pupils, and the third and fourth year children.
During the holiday period, members of the Infants’ department were due to go on a trip to see a pantomime at Bradford, and to raise money towards transport costs a coffee morning was held prior to breaking up and this raised about £30.
Members of the choir and recorder group went to the David Crosley flats to sing and play to residents there. Over 50 people were involved in the venture.
