Southfield Methodist Church Pantomime

This year’s theatrical presentation from members of Southfield Methodist Church, Nelson, is “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, a popular pantomime staged at the Nelson Civic Theatre this week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with more performances tonight and tomorrow.
Under the guidance of producer Mr Bill Markin, the cast of all ages is presenting a traditional panto, complete with music and heroines.
The excellent scenery has been arranged by Messrs Keith Dawdry, David Farrer and Alan Chisnall, and musicians include Messrs. William Greenwood, Sam Duckett and Karl Williamson.
Members of the cast in order of appearance are – Elizabeth O’Connell (Fairy Queen), Linda Heap (First Wish Fairy), Janet Bicketstaffe (Second Wish Fairy), Steuart Smith (Goblin Grim), Alison Wright (Fairy Truelove), Maria Clark (Goldilocks), Paula Bickerstaffe (Lucy), Gary Bickerstaffe (Peter), Louise Crossley (Will), Joyce Ratcliffe (Mother Wrangle), Stephen Smith (Chip), Bill Markin (Chop), Keith Heap (King’s Forester), Peter Facer (Chamberlain), Maureen Markin (Squinty), Ivy Markin (Grimwig), Jackie Berry (Prince Goodheart), Michelle Berry (Scribble), Michael Simcoe (Father Bear), Elizabeth O’Connell (Mother Bear), Ian Smith (Baby Bear), and the chorus of fairies, elves, and village children include Lisa Murray, Lisa Heap, Catherine Smith, Christine Smith, Kay Waddington, Christy Nicholson, Emma Heap, Kerry Heap, Kirsty Bickerstaffe, Sharon Clark, Alison Maden, Charlotte Maden, Richard Waddington, Mark Murray and David Murray.
