Early would-be buyers of goods on sale at Colne Lions’ Club charity fair on Saturday were admitted to the municipal hall before the scheduled start of the event in view of the inclement weather.
The fair attracted around 20 stalls from local charities selling a wide variety of goods and raised over £250.
This will be used to take a coachload of local children to see a Christmas pantomime and to provide for a concert for the town’s Senior Citizens in February.
Lions Club spokesman Mr Terry Walsh this week thanked all those who had supported the event and made it such a success.
